Listening well and supporting others have always come naturally to me. My career journey as a therapist has only strengthened my skills and have helped me turn my passion into a career. My main goal as a mental health professional is to help my clients improve their feelings of self-worth and to be a guide while they face life’s challenges. I strive to create a safe, positive, and non-judgmental space that allows my clients to confront and overcome their struggles.

When I offer insight and different perspectives, I keep in mind the broader influence of your cultural context, family, and friends in your life as we work together to achieve your goals. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy. Together, we can discover solutions and healing that contribute to building a strong support system and brighter future that aligns with your values. I am currently an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am under direct supervision of Dr. Afshana Haque, PhD, LMFT-S who has been a vital part of my development as a therapist. Through my education and training I have gained experience working with teenagers and families facing anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. I have also been passionate about helping families and teens overcome challenges of various life transitions.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Texas State University in Family and Child Development with a minor in Psychology and my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. My past internship experiences included working with adolescents who had a sibling with a chronic/terminal illness at Any Baby Can. I have also worked with high school students helping them overcome issues around trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression.
